New to Pathfinder School for the 2017-2018 School year is the addition of our Robotics and Automation course. In this 18 week semester course students will be introduced to how robotic components are researched, designed, created, and tested. In the first 9-10 weeks student's will be guided through tutorial type, hands on builds where they will be able to create basic robotics that will accomplish certain tasks by radio control. After completing various tests on the robot they built, student's will then be confronted with a challenge to complete using what they have learned on their previous build.
The next 8-9 weeks will concentrate on the automation aspect of robotics where students will learn how to program their creations to perform a number of tasks, while using different types of sensors and components. All areas will focus on STEM subject areas and cover Next Generation Science Standards, Common Core Math and ELA, as well as IEETA Standards.
